We are currently shipping within 2 working days using Royal Mail Tracked 48.
We are currently unable to ship outside the UK at the moment due to the cost and quality of courier services. Unfortunately, we no longer attend markets and events.
CHRISTMAS 2022 – We ship using Royal Mail Tracked 48, but each year deliveries are sometimes subject to delays during busy seasonal periods that are beyond our control. Whilst we will dispatch as quickly as possible within our own time promise, we cannot be responsible for delays within Royal Mail systems once your order has left us. We can only suggest that you order in plenty of time for Christmas, but in the end this is up to you. If you want delivery by Christmas, our best guess is that you order before 9am on Monday 19th December.
We will be closed from Friday 23rd December 2022 after our last dispatch that morning and will not be available to respond to emails from close of business on Thursday 22nd December. Our cut off for last orders before we close is midday on Thursday 22nd December. We will then proceed to eat too much, go for long dog walks and watch a lot of television until Monday 9th January. All orders taken during the break will be dispatched that week as quickly as we can.
Up to 2kg : £4.00 – 2kg to 10kg : £7.50 – 10kg to 20kg : £11.00
Please note that Royal Mail Tracked 48 guarantees that deliveries aim to be delivered in 2-3 working days. We are as beholden to aim to be delivered as you are, which is why we do not operate a delivery date guarantee. This responsibility lies with Royal Mail. The responsibility for any lost parcels lies with us, so please contact us so we can help. With some of the delivery issues that we have experienced in the last year we are only using the Tracked 48 option, which allows you and us to see exactly where your parcels are.
2kg is around 8 large or around 15 small candles and we ship at around 8am each day. Dispatch emails from us show that they are ready to be received by couriers, not that they have been received. If you get an email from us at 11am or 3pm or the middle of the night (for example) then they will be en-route the following 8am. We can only state that our couriers say “normally” and this may not guarantee delivery times. We do our level best to dispatch orders as fast as we can (and keep an eye out for customers who request faster deliveries) but do not guarantee a next day dispatch ourselves unless we have spoken to you personally and agreed this.
*Some remote areas (such as the Shetland Islands, Northern Scotland, Channel Islands, Ireland etc.) may carry a £2 surcharge.
If you experience any delivery issues, please contact us within 14 days of your dispatch notification as this is the duration of our insurance for your delivery.
After this period we are unfortunately unable to replace your order.
We recommend that if you are at work during the day that you arrange for your candles to be delivered to a work address or an alternative address where someone will be in to take your parcel. Our courier will attempt three deliveries and/or leave in a safe place where applicable. We are not responsible for your not being in on three separate occasions when your parcels are delivered. It costs us £4 to have a failed delivery returned to us and unfortunately we must pass this on in any refunds (don’t worry – it’s only happened once!). If you specify a safe place for your parcel to be left then we cannot accept liability. Never arrange for candles to be left where they will be exposed to wet, direct sun or extremes of heat.
Outlying UK areas and those customers in hard to reach addresses may take up to 7 working days.
