Firstly, I didn’t make this and for that you should be grateful. For me, handmade soap is a statement thing that I like to look at. I always have a bar of nice bubbly, happy handmade soap by the sink in my bathroom so my hands smell nice when I go to bed and I feel like I did something nice for myself. It’s a thing. What isn’t good is my own soap. Like the sugar scrub bars I thought “Ooooo! I bet I can make soap!” and it turns out I can’t do that either. One of the few things that looked sadder than my sugar scrub bars was either my sorry looking homemade soap or any cup of tea I’ve tried to make, because I just lack all the skills. At least with tea it’s one cup down the sink rather than half a ton of inexpertly made weird stuff that smelled lovely but should never go in a bathroom for any statement I want to make. Again, these are jobs for a professional makers of handmade bath products or either cups of tea respectively and I’m absolutely fine with that. It’s all about knowing your limitations and embracing them.
